More on the clearance of the Olympic Park in East London. The Telegraph reports that a Royal Navy veteran may be physically removed from the site to make way for the bulldozers.

A Royal Navy veteran faces eviction from his home this week to make way for the London Olympics.

Ron Rowen, 75, is set to become the first person to be physically removed from the Olympic Park site in east London by police and -bailiffs.

The ex-serviceman, who worked as a fireman after leaving the Navy, has been given until Tuesday to leave the house where he has lived for 42 years. He said: "I'm not going voluntarily."
