Snows' stonking Battlefield series

You may wonder what happened to Peter Snow when his arms finally fell off after waving them about so much in front of the swingometer. With his son he has been presenting an excellent series of Battlefield programmes. Their programme in the first series, Battlefield Britain, on the Battle of Newbury was superb. I understood the subject for the first time - and I live in Newbury.

Now they are back with a second series, 20th Century Battlefields. Their programme last night on the Battle of Midway was a stonker. It is very difficult to visualise a battle taking place over a vast expanse of ocean. But they did the job very well. I hadn't previously realised what a significant victory for the USA that battle was.
