Patrick Moore: Women to blame for bad TV

Patrick Moore's status as a national treasure was being given an extra polish after the anniversary of "Sky at Night" and then he goes and ruins it by blaming women for bad TV. What a numpty! The fact that he goes on about having "two wavelengths" shows that he is past his sell-by date.

  1. Funnily enough, I agree with everything he said apart from the bit about women.

He's even right about wavelenghts up to a point: in the commercial environment, there is room for channels devoted exclusively to particular genders (e.g. Grenada: Men and Motors).

As for "soap operas, cooking, quizzes, kitchen-sink plays..." I'd scrap the lot and lose a channel along with 'em.

  2. I wonder whether he just has an old steam-driven TV and knows nothing about multi-channels. After all, I hardly ever watch soaps/cooking/quizzes or kitchen sink plays but I can always find somthing interesting on UK History or BBC4 or BBC2 or Channel 4.
