US Presidential contender Tommy Thompson has fallen back on blaming his own human frailties to wriggle out of his anti-gay remarks at the Republican Presidential debate.First, he blamed a dead hearing aid. Now, he brings into play the old trouble which comes to all men of a certain age:
I was just hanging on. I could not wait until the debate got off so I could go to the bathroom.
